Beekeeping Courses

Courses in Practical Beekeeping

All new beekeepers are advised to attend an introductory beekeeping course and experience a hive being inspected before they get their own bees.  Beekeeping is a rewarding hobby but also a challenging one.  The more knowledge and skills that you have the greater the chances your beekeeping will be successful and enjoyable.

Prospective beekeepers could get a head start with a bit of reading.  There are many good books such as The BBKA Guide to Beekeeping, Second Edition by Davis, I. & Cullum-Kenyon, R.

Evesham Beekeepers' Association Course – starting early spring 2024

Cheryl and Martyn Cracknell have kept bees for over 40 years, and their beginner’s course has been running for 25 years.  They are active members of their local beekeeping association and Martyn is currently the President of Worcestershire Beekeeping Association.

The 2024 course is now fully booked.
